Field journal · depth first
MetalFind
Hunt log with depth notes — zone, coil, and keepers written on the same outing so you can repeat the days that paid.
How a hunt is written
-
01
Mark the ground
Add a park, beach, field, or woodland as a search zone. Keep permission notes and hot spots on the zone card before you swing the coil.
-
02
Snapshot the rig
Start a hunt with the detector, coil size, and preset you actually used. Settings stay on the session so the next outing can copy a day that paid.
-
03
Log keepers by depth
Record centimetres, signal ID, tone, a material guess, and photos as found and after cleaning. Pull tabs, foil, nails, and other junk live on a separate tally.
